MGC Tires

MGC Tires

The MGC with it's 6 cylinder engine fitted a bigger wheel than the MGB. The MGC fitted 165R15. The tyre we would recommend these days for an MMGC would be Pirelli's 165HR15 Pirelli Cinturato CA67 the looks and handling of this tyre is perfectly suited to an MGC.

MG C Tires

Often with cars like an MG C people think a bigger tyre will improve the car. If that had been the case MG would have fitted a bigger tire. Low profile wide tyres came out in 1968 long before the MG C ceased production, and the could have fitted a 185/70VR15, but they didn't. However if you do want a bigger tire on your car then fitting a period tyre with a carcase that is designed for such a job will diminish the handling deficiencies that oversized tires bring.185/70VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 is the perfect tyre for the job. It's rounded shoulders will maintain the progressive handling while at the same time giving a wider tyre that some people think they want.
